Drink cartons to be made into plasterboard in Nottingham

Nottingham residents will have a helping hand in turning their drink cartons into plasterboard, strong paper bags and envelopes. Nottingham City Council, is working in partnership with Tetra Pak, to launch a new beverage carton recycling scheme throughout Nottingham. It is estimated that each year 55,000 tonnes of paper-based cartons are produced for milk, juice, sauces and other liquids. This averages out around 2.3kg of cartons per household.
