NRA deadline extended – enter now!

The extended deadline for entries to the prestigious National Recycling Awards is fast apporaching.

The NRA, which recognise excellence in all parts of the waste hierarchy and in all sections of the industry, have a new closing date of next Friday, 9 March.

The awards are open to all from waste producers to local authorities, waste management companies, manufacturers and energy producers.

Small businesses have a vital role to play and this year there categories to specifically recognise their achievements and the important contribution they make.

The recycling and waste management industry has made significant progress over the years, moving recycling from a marginal issue into the mainstream.

Households and businesses up and down the country and the government now recognise that recycling is crucial for the environment, for sustainability, and for the economy.

The latest waste review also underlines ministers’ commitment to supporting and boosting recycling, energy from waste and waste reduction.

To win, entrants for the awards must demonstrate effective strategy, tangible improvement, innovative and creative solutions, and a strong business case.
