Contract: Scottish Parliament procurement services: recycling and waste management services.

Description: A waste management and recycling service that maximises the quantity of waste that is recovered and maximises the quality of the recyclate. The service must be delivered in a way that minimises the environmental impact and carbon footprint of the service from collection at the Parliament to re-processing and end of life. The contractor must be able to manage all of the core recycling and waste management streams, including general waste, glass, mixed paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, batteries and food waste. The contract may be extended up to 3 one-year periods.

Duration: Starting 25.3.2013. Completion 24.3.2016.

Contract: The Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP): management consulting services and related services

Deadline: 14.1.2013 - 13:30

Description: Environmental issues consultancy services. WRAP wishes to appoint a number of advisors to provide technical support services to WRAP and to businesses with which it is involved. The framework contract will be set up in six lots, including: technical advice to retailers and suppliers of home and workplace products; technical advice to retailers, suppliers, recyclers and collectors of clothing and other textile products; technical advice to retailers and suppliers of electrical and electronic products; technical advice to clients, contractors and supply chain for facilities management services; resource-efficient business models; and technical advice to hospitality and food service companies and their supply chains.

Estimated total value: £12m

Duration: 48 months

Won by: Amber Merchants Ltd t/as Wastebeater, four offers received.

Value: £1,876,452.69.

Contract: East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust: collection and disposal of hospital waste.

Won by: Veolia Environmental Services, three offers received.

Contract: University of Bristol: waste collection services - skips and general waste, contract split into lots.

Won by: ETM Recycling, Viridor Waste Management Ltd and Sita UK.

Value: £252,000 in total.
