Crane cuts time for configuration

Hiab, part of Cargotec, will launch its biggest crane to date in its high-capacity range, the Hiab X-HiPro 1058.

According to the handling equipment manufacturer, this marks the first in a series of launches across its heavy lift range.

The X-HiPro 1058 includes features designed to improve productivity and reliability, as well as reduce lifetime ownership costs.

It has a capacity of 90 tonne metres, a horizontal outreach of up to 34.5m with a jib and up to 38m vertically. This makes this extra capacity crane suitable for lifting heavy and bulky materials.

Hiab reports that the time taken to mount and configure the crane has been reduced as a result of the bolted integrated subframe, basemounted oil tank and its integrated auxiliary legs.
