Dual cut to shred for fuel

Untha UK’s XR waste shredder for refuse-derived and alternative fuel production will make its debut at RWM.

It has been designed to increase operators’ profitability, and its Eco Drive technology promises to reduce energy consumption by up to 50%. According to Untha, this could save in excess of £500,000 in electricity costs in less than five years.

The XR can achieve throughputs of up to 70 tonnes an hour, and has two distinct cutting concepts that can be configured as clients’ requirements evolve. It is able to achieve a precision shred, with homogenous particles as small as 50mm, in a single pass.

The XR shredding app will allow visitors to view the machine in 3D when they leave the show.

Also on the stand will be the Untha RS40 with conveyor, a versatile four-shaft shredding system.

Untha will be on stand 5R20-S21
