What is your product?
Arco’s new Cut Control System Gloves.
How does it work?
The new Cut Control System makes it possible to see instantly what level of cut protection is being worn. Gloves are colour coded to illustrate different levels of cut protection and also numbered for ease of use and efficiency. The colour coding also gives a clear visual signal for surrounding workers and safety inspectors.
A staggering 1.2 million working days per year are lost due to handling injuries which include trapped fingers and cuts from sharp objects. These injuries can often be prevented by the use of the correct personal protective equipment.
Where would it ideally be used?
The gloves will be suitable for any work associated with the handling of rough or sharp objects which could abrade, cut or pierce the skin, such as glass, thin metal sheet, electronics and masonry blocks. Industries these are suited to include construction, maintenance, engineering, glass handling, metalwork and precision work such as electronics.
How is it different?
It is the number element on the back of the gloves which makes them so different; allowing for the correct glove to be chosen and working as a visual indicator of the level of protection. This new range of gloves also feature specifically sourced cut resistant threads blended together with other quality materials to provide excellent levels of protection. Tested and approved to meet the European standard for protective gloves against mechanical risks (EN 388:2003), the gloves will protect against punctures, tears, cuts and abrasion.
What benefits does it offer?
The colour/number combination is a convenient and failsafe solution which ensures both safety and efficiency for the user. In addition, this range of gloves offers the user a certain level of flexibility in glove design. The wearer can choose from either a PU coating for use where dexterity is crucial, or a nitrile coating where robust wear and grip is a pre-requisite.
As Arco is committed to affordable safety, the gloves are competitively priced, ranging from £1.95 to £12.50 and will be available for purchase in September.
