£3.5m for recycling awareness in London

The Deputy Mayor of London has announced £3.5 million for the capitals recycling awareness campaign over the next two years.Nicky Gavron said the money for the Recycle for London campaign would come from the £20m the London Recycling Fund has to spend by April 2006.The city recycled just 11% of its household waste in 2002/3 and mayor Ken Livingstone has set a target of 25% by 2005.
