Alba appointed to REPIC board

Recycling Electrical Producers Consortium REPIC has confirmed that Alba is the latest company to be appointed as a member of its board.

Albas brands include Alba, Breville, Bush, Cable & Wireless, Dirt Devil and Goodmans.

The company will now sit on the board alongside BSH Home Appliances, Glen Dimplex, Hoover, Indesit Company UK, Kenwood, Panasonic UK and Philips Electronics UK, as well as three REPIC executive directors.

Albas presence on our board adds further to the depth and breath of experience and commitment already provided by the member elected board. No other potential B2C waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) compliance scheme can demonstrate or call upon this level of producer participation and support, said REPIC chief executive Philip Morton.

REPIC, which is currently seeking compliance scheme approval from the Environment Agency, is a not-for-profit company established in January 2004.
