Award success for RWM and MRW

Several bottles of bubbly were cracked open by RWM and MRW staff last week to celebrate the capture of two highly prestigious awards.

At the Emap Communications Awards 2005, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, RWM 04 won Exhibition of the Year, while the MRW display/RWM Exhibition Sales team won Sales Team of the Year.

RWM event director and MRW publisher Steve Crowhurst said: "This award proves that RWM is definitely the number one exhibition in the recycling and waste management industry.

"It reflects the hard-work and creativity shown by all of the RWM team to put together a truly outstanding event year-after-year.

"The award for the sales team also demonstrates their skill and ability in attracting the highest calibre of exhibitors and advertisers into both the exhibition and magazines."

The EC Operations team, which also helps to organise RWM, won the Support Team of the Year.

MRW's editorial team was shortlisted in the Editorial Team of the Year award, but was just pipped to the award by Yours magazine.

The awards were hosted by former Brookside actress Claire Sweeney and entries were open to all the hundreds of magazine, exhibition and conference teams within the Emap Communications division. Emap is a FTSE 100 company and owns media organisations all over the world.

This is the second time RWM has won the Exhibition of the Year award as it also won it in 2002.
