Biffa £1.2bn deal is done and dusted!

Biffa has completed its £1.2 billion acquisition deal and has been officially taken over by private equity group WasteAcquisitionco.

Shares from Biffa will now be cancelled and taken off from the London Stock Exchange today (Apr 8 2008). A Biffa spokesman said: All shareholders are eligible to 350 pence a share and all monies will get paid by April 21 2008.

On February 8 2008, Biffa agreed a takeover offer by WasteAcquisitionco, a consortium made up of Montagu Private Equity, Global Infrastructure Parnters and Uberior Co-Investments.
