Bin company Straight announces 8% increase in turnover

Waste container supplier Straight plc has announced an 8% increase in turnover in its 2010 year end results.

The company, which supplies wheeled bins, kerbside recycling boxes and water butts, attributed the growth to the acquisition of Helesi UK and a manufacturing position which it describes as “strong”.

Straight plc chief executive Jonathan Straight said: “We are extremely pleased with the progress the group has made in the past year, including the successful integration of two key acquisitions.”

The group is now installing blow moulding facilities in order to complement its existing injection moulding capabilities. When complete, the expanded site is expected to be able to manufacture more than two thirds of the group’s output on a single site.

Straight expects these facilities to be complete by the end of the first quarter of 2011.
