Bio Group unites three organics companies

To strengthen their position in the UK market, three organic waste companies will come together under a single parent company called the Bio Group.

The companies, Material Change, Global Recycling Solutions and Cambridge Recycling Services, will retain their own names but will work closely together to develop and operate a network of existing facilities as well as creating new sites and operations.

Bio Group chief executive Steve Sharratt said: The creation of Bio Group is the first step in the development of a complete organic waste and renewable energy business, equipped to tackle the increasing demands and challenges of the UK and international markets as they seek to tackle climate change.

Global Recycling Solutions managing director Paul Caldwell said: While Global Recycling Solutions will continue to operate independently this merger will provide a strategic fit delivering significant growth opportunities for the business.
