BPF Recycling Council becomes full member of BPF

The British Plastics Federation’s Recycling Council (BPFRC) has now entered into full membership of the British Plastic Federation (BPF).

As of 1 January 2011, the BPFRC will become the BPF’s Recycling Group and its members will become full members of the BPF.

BPFRC chairman Mark Burstall has handed over his chairmanship to elected successor Roger Baynham director of Philip Tyler Polymers. Burstall will continue to advise the BPF’s Recycling Group on how Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals regulations affect plastics recyclers.

BPF director general Peter Davis said: “This is an excellent strategic move for the BPFRC and the BPF given that the sustainable message for plastics significantly hinges on recycling. Mark has played an exceptionally pro-active role on behalf of plastics recyclers and built up the good-will which currently exists between the BPF and the plastics recycling sector.”
