Campaign up for award

Campaign up for award

The Rethink Rubbish Western Riverside Campaign has been shortlisted for the 2004 Office for Public Management prize for Public Management Leadership.

Each year the Office for Public Management awards a prize for excellent and innovative public management leadership that recognises achievement in managing for social result.

The campaign was shortlisted because it made significant community improvements and an outstanding contribution to the management of public services.

Its key achievements included helping to harmonise and improve kerbside recycling collection schemes, making them easy for residents to use and understand and helping to increase the amount of recyclable materials collected from the kerbside in two of the boroughs by 128%.
