Changes for mobile phone and cartridge recycler

One of Europes leading collectors and recyclers of printer cartridges and mobile phones has announced a number of top-level organisational changes and board appointments.

Environmental Business Products (EBP) has diversified to form the EBP Group, of which EBP is the leading operating business.

The newly formed group, which is actively expanding throughout Europe, will now comprise EBP as well as TAL Papers and Environmental Collections.

The former managing director of EBP, Pat Stead becomes group chief executive while Aleem Hosein, a ten year veteran of the company has been promoted to the role of managing director of EBP.

In total, EBP collects over four million printer cartridges and mobile phones a year for recycling and remanufacturing, with the help of charity partners such as Tommys the Baby Charity, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Christian Aid and environmentally aware businesses around Europe.

It donates over £750,000 a year to charities as a result of these recycling schemes and has plans to increase this to over £1 million a year by the end of 2007.

Other directors of the EBP Group are Andrew Duncan (finance), Atif Mirza (technical) and Rayham Ahmad (production).
