Cleansing Service Group (CSG), the Hampshire-based waste management firm, has expanded its treatment and recovery services with the acquisition of the assets of Wilton Waste Treatment for an undisclosed sum.
The company has used the assets, which include a treatment site and transfer station in Redcar in Teeside, to establish CSG Wilton. The seven acre site, which was formed two years ago, operates as an advanced aerated bio-treatment plant capable of handling any organic effluent, including hazardous. Wilton Waste Treatment will cease to trade and its 11 members of staff will move across to the newly formed company.
Neil Richards, CSG director of treatment and recovery, said: “This purchase expands the range of specialist treatments we offer and the location will also enable us to continue to develop our customer base in the north east.”
The creation of CSG Wilson is the latest step in the company’s expansion programme, which included the acquisition of aluminium recycler and waste collector to the printing, photographic and healthcare industries J&G Environmental in December 2008.
