Commercial health check prompts switch to recycled paper

Overwhelming enquiries about using alternative recycled paper grades are turning into sales, according to paper supplier Media Paper Management. The company received high interest from customers about greener paper choices when it launched its Paper Health Check service last year. The Paper Health Check gives a direct comparison between the users current paper grade and the proposed alternatives.

Environmental manager Danny Doogan said that the switch from virgin to recycled paper is a slow process but added: We have had some changeovers already, with two contract magazine publishers and a tour operator. But I think well definitely see more customers moving over to recycled paper as weve been swamped with requests for quotes and dummy mock ups.

More people are becoming environmentally responsible with their prints and as a paper supplier we are being asked more environmental questions.

But recycled paper does have its limits with quality, so some customers might look at part recycled.
