Contract: The Borough Council of Gateshead and the Council of The City of Sunderland: management of HWRCs.

Description: Provision of a service for the management and operation of Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) in Gateshead and Sunderland which are provided to discharge the contracting authorities statutory duty under Section 51 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. The facilities are available free of charge for customers.

This service will also include the clearance and transportation of materials to markets to enable its processing or disposal and responsibility for the overall cleanliness of the facilities, repairs and maintenance and opening and closing each day.

Value: Lot 1, Gateshead: £1.4m - 1.47m. Lot 2, Sunderland: £980,000 - £ 1.03m

Contract: South Kesteven District Council: refuse and waste related services

Description: Refuse collection, recycling disposal and treatment services. South Kesteven District Council (SKDC), South Holland District Council (SHDC) and West Lindsey District Council (WLDC) are seeking a contractor that is suitably qualified to receive, sort and market recycling materials collected.

The contract will be for an initial duration of three years with the option to extend by a further two years in 12 month periods.

Value: Lot 1, up to £500,000. Lot 2, up to £300,000. Lot 3, up to £300,000.

Contract: Rotherham MBC: bin provision

Description: Rotherham MBC is inviting bids from qualified provider(s) who can supply quality fit for purpose wheeled bins, 55 litre boxes and associated goods and services.

Contract: Staffordshire County Council: landfill site monitoring

Description: The authority wishes to set up a long term contract to provide for the monitoring of closed landfill sites within the authority’s care, monitoring gas emissions, leachate and other contamination that may occur, and for the provider to advise on any remedial work necessary to resolve any issues that arise.

The contract will also allow for the provider to investigate, agree and implement suitable methods of utilising the sites in conjunction with the county council.

Contract: North Somerset Council: residual waste treatment

Description: A contract for the treatment of black bag residual waste, of around 10,000 tonnes per year on behalf of North Somerset.

In addition to tonnage from North Somerset, further tonnages of up to around 40,000 tonnes per year will be available from our West of England waste partners Bristol City Council and Bath and North East Somerset.

Contract: Ballymoney Borough Council,Coleraine Borough Council, Derry City Council, Limavady Borough Council; Moyle District Council and Strabane District Council on behalf of the North West Region Waste Management Group: biowaste collection.

Description: Provision of services for the treatment of biowaste collected at the kerbside from household and commercial properties by councils in the North West Region Waste Management Group. Lots 1-6.

Awarded to: Natural Wood Products

Contract: West London Waste Authority:

Description: Treatment including the bulking, collection and transportation of various organic waste streams from within the West London Waste Authority area.

Awarded to: Contract No 1 Lots 1 & 2: Biogen (UK). Contract No 2 Lots 1, 2 & 3: Countrystyle Recycling, Lot 4: Tamar Organics. Contract No 3 Lot 1, 2 & 3: Countrystyle Recycling, Lot 4, 5 & 6: West London Composting.
