Cory Environmental buys new landfill site

Cory Environmental Resource Management, part of Cory Environmental, has bought Hafod Quarry landfill site in Johnstown, near Wrexham.

The site has been in operation since 2006 and was previously owned by Mersey Waste Holdings. The site can accept a range of non-hazardous waste from local businesses and homes.

Currently, the site is being progressively restored to grassland and woodland and final restoration of the site is expected to be completed ahead of the allocated timescale.

Cory Environmental director Alistair Holl said: It is important for us to continue to increase our landfill bank so were pleased to add Hafod to our portfolio sites across the UK.
