Cory gets planning permission for MRF

Cory Environmental has been granted planning permission to build a state-of-the-art materials recycling facility (MRF) to process recyclables for the Western Riverside Waste Authority (WRWA).

The site on Smugglers Way in Wandsworth, London, will process 84,000 tonnes per annum for households from Hammersmith and Fulham, Lambeth, Wandsworth and Kensington and Chelsea.

WRWA general manager Colin James said: "The MRF will allow us to forge ahead with our plans to increase recycling and reduce the volume of waste which goes to landfill."

Cory Environmental is building the facility as part of its contract with WRWA.
