Cory wins £23m Tunbridge Wells recycling contract

Waste management firm Cory Environmental has been awarded a new ten-year refuse and recycling contract by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.

The contract, worth £23 million, includes refuse and recycling collection services to the boroughs 47,000 households, as well as street cleansing services. It will start in March 2009.

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council councillor Paul Barrington-King said: This is great news for the people of Tunbridge Wells. We are able to provide a doorstep recycling service for cans and plastic bottles for the first time without compromising any other aspects of the service. We look forward to working with Cory on what I am sure will be a very successful partnership.
