Dynamite solution to disused weapons stockpile

The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has announced plans to purchase and install a TNT smelting device.

It will help it dismantle and recycle stockpiles of disused weapons and ammunition in the Caucasus republic of Georgia. The plan also involves installing equipment extracting TNT explosives from artillery shells and bombs at a project centre at Dedoplistskaro, eastern Georgia, which is now fully operational.

The OSCE is working with the Georgian State Military and Scientific Centre Delta.
