EMR expands in Scotland

Global scrap metal giant EMR has acquired a new site in Scotland with the takeover of the Henry Gray Scrap Metal business.

The new depot in Kirkcaldy, Fife, brings the number of EMR sites to more than 70 across the UK.

Henry Gray founder, William Gray, joined EMR management along with sons William and John. He said: “This is an exciting opportunity we couldn’t pass up.  It’s business as normal for us, but with the added security and backing of one of the world’s biggest and most successful scrap metal companies.”

EMR manager Andrew Sheppard added: “We’re looking forward to building the already strong Henry Gray Scrap Metal business and have welcomed the founding family into the EMR Group.”
