England skip takes to the road

With the football World Cup fast approaching, patriotic individuals are flying the England flag from the windows of cars and homes.

But one Preston-based company has taken the practice a step further and turned one of its largest skip containers into a giant St George’s cross.

Recycling.co.uk was not content with a simple pennant and its waste skips division has re-painted a container with a five metre x 2.5 metre cross.

The company’s operations director Danny Jackson felt that there would be no better way of showing their support for the national team than to send the vehicle out on the roads of Preston and the surrounding area.

He said: “It just felt like a good idea. We are all keen to back the national team when they play in Germany next month and, since the truck is out there making collections all day, it seemed like the perfect way to show our support.”
