Entec is renamed and becomes AMEC's UK arm

Environmental and engineering consultancy Entec UK has been renamed AMEC Environment and Infrastructure UK.

Entec was bought by international engineering and project management company AMEC in 2010.

The renamed business now represents the UK arm of AMEC’s Environment and Infrastructure division, which has 7,000 employees worldwide.

The UK business – including staff from AMEC’s former UK environmental business – has 750 people operating from 17 offices around the UK.

AMEC Environment and Infrastructure UK offers a range of services including waste management, environmental management and compliance, renewable power and energy, environmental impact assessment and appraisal, and contaminated land.

Parent company AMEC is a FTSE100 company with a turnover of almost £3 billion as a focused supplier of consultancy, engineering and project management services to the world’s oil and gas, minerals and metals, clean energy, water and environmental sectors.
