Environmental awards for the Northwest

Companies in the Northwest have been invited to show their environmental achievements to a wider audience by entering the Northwest Business Environment Awards 2007.

The regional awards scheme, which was established in 2001, is open to both small and large-scale companies, who need to submit entries by February 2 2007.

This year two new awards have been added to the list of categories: the Sustainable Procurement Awards, and the Built Environment Award, which will give recognition to both major developments and small-scale projects.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony in Spring 2007.

The awards are hosted by the Mersey Basin Campaign and the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA), with support from MIDAS, Environment Agency, ENWORKS, CBI, NWDA, Groundwork North West, The Mersey Basin Campaign, Envirolink North West, Institute of Directors (IoD) and Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
