ESA appoints new director of policy

The Environmental Services Association (ESA) has appointed Matthew Farrow, the CBI’s head of environment and energy, as its new director of policy.

Farrow is currently responsible for the CBI’s policy work on all environmental issues, including climate change, waste and energy. Previously he was head of Policy at CBI Scotland between 1999 and 2004 and has also worked in a number of policy roles at the CBI’s London headquarters, including education and training, the growth of small companies and tourism.

Farrow replaces Gill Weeks who has been working as ESA’s acting director of policy since April, having been seconded from Veolia Environmental Services.

He will take up his new role in January.
