European consortia bid

European consortia bid

The European Environment Agency (EEA) has invited recycling and waste companies to form consortia and bid to run a European Topic Centre on waste and resource management that would work alongside EEA officials.

This would help harmonise environmental monitoring carried out in the European Union, compiling and processing data and producing environmental indicators.

The agency has issued a formal call for tender for consortia to apply, as existing contracts for its waste topic centre will expire later this year. The deadline for applications is June 21. A tender for another topic centre on biodiversity has also been issued.
