Exhibitor bought out hours before RWM 2008

One of the RWM exhibitors was unable to attend the show this year as it was bought out in a multi-million pound deal just 12 hours before the show opened.

Wheeled bin company Titan Plastech, formerly part of building company Kingspan, was bought by the AAC plastic group.

AAC managing director Mike Elms said: â€Itâ€s business as usual. We  are committed to the wheeled bin industry. We have purchased the business to develop the bin and recycling angle.â€?
The move is not expected to affect bin supply or cause shortages.
Titan and its marketing arm MGB Waste systems are known to UK local authorities as wheeled bin suppliers.

Elms said: â€AAC is part of the larger One51Group recycling business worth Euros 5million. It handles metals, wood, soil reclamation and WEEE initiatives. This buyout is part of a massive change for the   business.

â€Titan was a small part of the business for Kingspan in  terms of capital investment. But we are focussed on getting involved in recycling all materials.â€?
