Waste management firm Orchard Environmental plans to expand its premises and boost its sales team this year.
It aims to recruit two new sales staff in the first quarter with more recruitments due in telesales and field sales over the remaining part of the year.
The company is part of the Orchard Group, which employs 90 people and has regional offices across the UK including Glasgow, Bristol and Newcastle.
Investment in the company’s infrastructure and offices is already underway, according to group managing director Gareth Henderson, left. The aim is to have 22 people at head office by the end of 2014.
The company has also installed a software system to help with waste reporting and to allow clients to manage waste more effectively, said Henderson.
He added: “It will also provide major benefits to those managing ISO14001 and similar compliance schemes, assisting with on-going waste monitoring and management.”
ISO14001 is a certification scheme to help organisations reduce their environmental impact.
A collection vehicle was put on the road in the Autumn 2013 to provide emergency collections for clients in the West Yorkshire area if their regular supplier does not turn up as scheduled.
