Whether it is road vehicles, heavy-duty plant, tippers and trailers, weighing technology or route planning software, this year’s Recycling & Waste Management Exhibition at the Birmingham NEC from 14 to 16 September 2010 brings together everything you need to stay up-to-date in one central venue.
There is a line-up of expert speakers in the comprehensive free programme of over 40 seminars, which runs in three dedicated seminar theatres throughout the three days of the show. For fleet managers and procurement specialists there are two sessions of particular interest. On 14 September in the Energy & Water Theatre (sponsored by Motherwell Bridge and Grundon Waste Management), The Renewable Fuels Agency head of carbon and sustainability Aaron Berry will present an update on the UK’s Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation and the Renewable Energy Directive. He will review current obligations and incentives for creating transport fuel from waste and its likely impact on the waste industry. The next day in the Business Seminar Theatre (sponsored by Gateway to London and TEG) AMEC Entec senior consultant David Pugh will look at the logistical benefits of in cab technology for reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfill.
