Export success for UK engineering firm

A West Country supplier has won a second export order from Scandinavia’s largest recycling company.

Glastonbury-based Middleton Engineering will supply a Middleton HB60 Shear Baler to Ragn-Sells for its Copenhagen operation.

The machine can process six tonnes of cardboard an hour.

Ragn-Sells bought another Middleton baler in June, adapted for mobile use around the Norwegian islands.

Bjørn Hoel, manager at Ragn-Sells, said: “This is the second baler we have bought from Middletons because we wanted a robust, fully automatic machine that is easy to operate and that requires a minimum of maintenance. It is particularly important that this second baler has low headroom and a small footprint so it can fit with the existing conveyor.”

Ashley Middleton, founder and managing director of Middletons, said the company was proud to be exporting its UK designed and built machines to “prestigious companies” like Ragn-Sells.
