Fun and environmental tips for all the family

London is to stage an event celebrating World Environment Day this summer - and waste minimisation and recycling will be high on the agenda.

Plans for the London Green Lifestyle Show on June 5 have been outlined by the capital's mayor, Ken Livingstone.

The show will be powered using renewable energy sources, and its waste will be minimised, recycled and composted.

Londoners will be able to pick up tips on how to make changes at home, work and in their leisure time to improve their standard of living and protect the environment.

Livingstone said: 'The London Green Lifestyle Show is the first London-wide event celebrating the environment and showcasing how London will look in the future."
