Skip hire company GBN Services has acquired a rival skip hire firm for an undisclosed sum.
GBN’s buyout of J Bridgeman and Sons will add a licenced waste transfer station, 300 skips and six vehicles to GBN’s assets, which include six waste transfer stations and more than 100 vehicles.
The 50-year-old target company will continue to trade as J Bridgeman and Sons but will eventually come under the GBN banner.
A GBN spokesman said: “The [acquisition of the] company will give an even greater coverage area for GBN’s existing customers. We will develop [Bridgeman’s] customer base to offer all the services and recycling facilities GBN can offer. The acquisition strengthens our place in the market.”
The announcement follows another recent acquisition by GBN in May, when it bought Uxbridge Recycling.
