Green waste facility provides hope for London's poor recycling record

By John McKennaLondons poor recycling record is set to receive a boost following the opening of a composting facility capable of recycling 30,000 tonnes of the capitals green waste every year. It will receive green waste from the London Boroughs of Croydon, Merton and Sutton.The London Recycling Fund (LRF) paid for the £2 million Sutton-based facility following a successful partnership bid by the three boroughs and Viridor Waste Management.
