ICE survey: 80% of people satisfied with rubbish and waste disposal

An Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) satisfaction survey revealed 80% of people are satisfied with rubbish and waste disposal services in their area.

The quarterly public service satisfaction survey, conducted by ComRes in December, found that 32% of respondents said they were “very satisfied” with their rubbish and waste disposal, while 48% said they were “fairly satisfied”.

Local Government Association (LGA) policy adviser Clive Harris told MRW: “These findings back up other statistics that identify that people are happy with their waste services.”

ICE Vice President Geoff French said: “We hope to see the importance of our infrastructure reflected in the upcoming Budget.”
