Inspired Recycling programme expands

London Remade’s Inspired Recycling programme - that supports the development of innovative products that use recycled materials - is to expand. After its first successful year, the programme will double the number of London boroughs it covers — from six to thirteen.

Support was previously available to designers and inventors in Haringey, Enfield, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest. But will now also be available to those in Havering, Barking and Dagenham, Bexley, Hammersmith and Fulham, Greenwich, and Brent and Ealing.

The Inspired Recycling team aim to work closely with area partnerships to raise awareness of the programme, and want to specifically target small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

London Remade project manager Robin Snook said: “We are delighted to succeed in expanding the Inspired Recycling programme and can now provide free tailored support to SMEs in 13 of London’s most disadvantaged areas. We have an excellent record of assisting individuals and businesses in creating and evolving sustainable design projects.”
