Firefighters have been tackling a large fire at a wood recycling plant near Doncaster overnight.
South Yorkshire Fire Service said it was called to the fire at Northern Wood Recycling on Bankwood Industrial Estate at 3:48am on Thursday morning. Twenty firefighters and four fire engines attended the blaze at its height.
This morning one engine remains at the scene while crews damp down the fire.
Reports say about 1,000 tonnes of wooden pallets were on fire with windy conditions exacerbating the situation.
The fire service said it had to work hard to stop flames spreading to neighbouring buildings.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown and an investigation will begin once the fire is completely out.
