Linpac Recycling acquired by Regain Polymers

Regain Polymers, a new independent business backed by funds managed by Chamonix Private Equity, has acquired the recycling division of the Linpac Group.

Chamonix recently acquired five parts of the Linpac Group in a recent selling-off of Linpac’s non-core businesses.

Linpac Recycling will be rebranded under the Regain brand name but will continue to operate from its existing site in Castleford, West Yorkshire by the current management team. It will offer the same grades of recycled plastics as before.

General manager Ian Porter who has moved with Linpac Recycling to Regain said: “This represents a fantastic opportunity to grow the business and improve the range of products we can offer and accept for recycling. We shall continue to supply our existing customers with minimal business disruption and will be looking to strengthen our portfolio of products and customers through 2011 and beyond.”

The company plans to expand the capabilities and capacity of the plant.
