Ferrous prices in August are unlikely to show any significant movement, according to MRW research.
Responses from yards indicate the market is unremarkable as it is the holiday downtime for most mills and works.
Traders are reporting very little movement in price - mainly regional increases from the likes of EMR offering £5 or so more on all grades.
Mills have not yet settled prices so it remains too early to be sure but merchants are not expecting great price swings in either direction - a roll over is more likely.
September could be the month to see more movement.
