London businesses help Kent agriculture

Food waste collection firm Juniper Food Waste has launched a new collection and composting system for Greater London businesses.

The firm, which is part of office plant and grounds maintenance provider Enterprise Plants, will collect the food waste from businesses to be turned into compost.

Juniper is using in-vessel composting systems, which will allow the food waste to break down and mature into high quality compost. Kents agriculture industry will utilise 100 per cent of the compost.

Juniper Food Waste technical director Andrew Bernard said: It was important for us to create a service that would offer companies a solution for all their food waste recycling needs in a manner that was efficient and dynamic and delivered on all levels.
