Markets - Weekly Prices Update - 10 June 2016

 

 

MRW’s regular reporting of movements in the markets for secondary materials

Summary

PRN prices for glass remelt, mixed energy and wood rose slightly: by £1, £0.10 and £0.85 per tonne respectively. 

Platinum and platinum scrap prices fell slightly while the other high value metal grades all saw small increases.

Brass clean rod swarf and unsorted brass scrap prices both rose by £25 per tonne while brass cutting prices fell £5 per tonne.

There were rises of £50 per tonne across the bronze & gun metal prices except for GM borings which remained stable.

Zinc base scrap and new cuttings both rose by £20 per tonne while lead battery prices fell by £10 per tonne.

Several nickels and alloy grades fell in price by £20 to £100 per tonne.

Various aluminum grades rose slightly with increases between £10 and £110, although aluminium pure cuttings and mixed alloy cuttings both fell by £20 per tonne and £25 per tonne respectively. 

There was a fall across all copper grades with declines ranging from £10 to £50 per tonne.

Low grade cables and aluminium low grade cable price both rose by £25 per tonne.
