Markets - Weekly Prices Update - 16 September 2016

 

 

MRW’s regular reporting of movements in the markets for secondary materials

Summary

High value metals all fell slightly this week, erasing last week’s gains.

Mixed brass scrap fell in price by £50 per tonne to £2,025 per tonne.

PB scrap fell in price by £25 per tonne to £2,440 per tonne.

Brass & copper radiators fell in price by £50 per tonne to £1,750 per tonne.

There were price drops of £25 - £50 per tonne across various aluminium grades. Pure cuttings fell by £25 per tonne to £695 per tonne.

The copper grades saw price drops of £25 - £50 per tonne. Copper dry bright wire fell £25 per tonne to £3,100 per tonne.

Lead scrap fell in price by £50 per tonne to £950 per tonne.

A couple of nickel and alloy grade prices rose and fell this week. The majority remained stable.
