Metals recycling giant EMR has made two senior appointments to its board.
Colin Iles, previously executive director and chief executive of US operations at the firm, has become chairman.
Chris Sheppard, previously executive director and chief executive of European operations, has assumed the role of group chief executive.
Previous chairman Phillip Sheppard - Chris’s father - died in August 2011.
Iles said: “These changes clearly lay a very strong foundation following the passing of Phillip.
“EMR has been built into a great company with an excellent management team and I believe with this structure we are securing our continued growth and success.”
Chris Sheppard said: “The restructuring of responsibilities provides a clear platform from which the strong performance and heritage of EMR can be continued into the future.
“The Company has a first-rate management team, great employees and an exciting future.”
UK-headquartered EMR has 150 facilities globally and an annual turnover of about £2.5 billion.
