New £13m waste facility nears completion

A £13 million waste facility based in Huyton, Liverpool, is nearing completion with its operations due to begin next month.The facility is being developed by Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority (MWDA) with support from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).The plant will use heat treatment to convert organic household waste into renewable fuels suitable for off-site power generation.
