Lingerie seller wants customers to recycle underwear

My-Knickers, based in Lancashire is asking customers to recycle or donate outdated underwear in order to benefit charities and the environment. It said the vast majority of lingerie is 100% recyclable.

Compliance scheme Recolight’s fourth satisfaction survey shows members are more satisfied with the service and benefits Recolight provides than ever before, with 97% of members surveyed saying that Recolight matches their expectations.

Converting coffee waste into energy

Coffee Compass, a coffee provider, has praised research from the University of Cincinnati, which found that waste coffee grounds could be used as biofuel if removed of oils and then dried. Estimates suggest that millions of tonnes of coffee are sent to landfill each year.

Recycling centre blaze at Sandwich

Around 30 firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a waste recycling centre in Thanet, reported Kent Online. The blaze broke out at the plant, in Ramsgate Road, Sandwich, at about 3.30am. No one was hurt in the fire and the cause is under investigation.
