Onyx team up with Blue Peter

Onyx has teamed up with television show Blue Peter to film a programme aimed at educating children on the recycling collection process.

Blue Peter presenter Zoe Salmon joined forces with Onyx workers in the London Borough of Camden for the documentary on the day-to-day challenges facing a refuse worker.

Onyx Camden senior environment manager Bill Closier said: "The day went extremely well. The film will provide an opportunity to educate younger audiences of the effort that goes into a job like this and to teach them more about what rubbish could be recycled."

The show will feature the Onyx refuse crew of driver Carlos Antrobus and loaders John Snow and Robert Phillips putting Zoe through her paces.

The documentary is due to be shown on BBC1 in December.
