Organisations given advice on funding grants

Over 40 organisations have been given an exclusive chance to find out about funding grants at an event held in Bridgend.

The advisory meeting hosted by the Wales Environment Trust and accountants Clay Shaw Thomas discussed the application process and offered technical advice and expertise.

Clay Thomas Shaw director David Thomas said: "Funding certainly exists for recycling companies who can demonstrate a strong business need so we would urge any businesses to contact us or the Wales Environment Trust to find out what opportunities are available to them."

Since the Welsh Assembly was launched six years ago, a total of £614 million has been offered through regional selective assistance, and a further £41 million given in Assembly Investment Grants since April 2002.
