Waste container provider Otto Waste Solutions has now rebranded as ESE (Environmental Systems Expertise), a year after it was acquired by private equity firm Stirling Square Capital Partners.
Stirling Square acquired ESEH Group from the Otto Group, which now focuses on the Americas and Asia.
Under the new corporate identity and name, ESE will continue to provide “a range of sustainable waste management products and services”.
ESE managing director Derek Monk, formerly of Otto, said: “What has not changed is our extensive UK market knowledge and understanding, our experience in important sectors such as local government and our commitment to partnership working, customer service and support and our ability to deliver our promises.
“The Otto brand was strong in the UK but doesn’t reflect the extensive market knowledge and expertise that the company and ESE World has to offer.”
Monk added that the new name, company structure and improved business model would “provide UK customers with the benefits of new vision, leadership, investment and the transfer of knowledge from our pan-European activity and continued research into finding alternative concepts for managing residual waste and recyclable materials”.
ESE plans to do this via a broader product and service offering, as well as extensive product and material research and development, such as higher recycled content.
ESE World is active in the waste storage market in Europe, the commonwealth independent states, North Africa and the Middle East. The group employs approximately 900 staff and operates two main manufacturing sites in France and Germany.
