Reconomy adds Network Waste to portfolio

Waste management services for hire firm Reconomy has bought Just Hire UK, which trades as Network Waste.

It is the second acquisition this year for the Telford-based company, which bought Countrywide Waste Management in January.

Reconomy provides outsourced waste management services to the construction, house building infrastructure and commercial sectors.

The acquisition of Network Waste builds on Reconomy’s growth since 2011, and last year it was listed by CIWM as one of the top 10 fastest growing waste companies.

Managing director Paul Cox said: “We still feel there is additional growth out there for Reconomy. We are not a company to rest on our laurels and we will always continue to move forward, looking ahead as to how we can improve, grow and develop ourselves well beyond the expectations of a traditional waste management provider.

“We will continue to invest in Network Waste and look to strengthen our workforce in the coming weeks and months to ensure we maintain a first-class service to our customers.”

Reconomy has won contracts with Kier, Morgan Sindall and Lendlease and renewed its work with Balfour Beatty.
